I feel like I've said all that there is to say about it. They're not stupid (the leaders, anyways). They're not fucking things up out of stupidity, they're fucking things up on purpose. Death and destruction is not a byproduct, it's the end product. The argument that's going on in the thread now is pointless. Both of them are just shouting: "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
