Not a great game

The effects and menus are nice, but really all this game amounts to is dodging a bunch of robotic penises. There's nothing special about the game itself.

[R-Type Stage 2]

Brilliant Game

Even if R-Type's been done before, it's fun to do again.

I agree that having one button for rapid fire and one for charging, like R-Type Final has, would be nice, but it's not necessary. Another good feature from 'Final might be the "Kids" and "Baby" modes, since nobody really expects these games to be difficult anymore.

And maybe "Save Score" was a bit cryptic? Nobody seems to have High Scores for me to beat...

Great game though, good luck with your future endeavors.

Wrong Name

It's not a bad game, but not that good either. If you give something a name like "Chaos Star", I expect boss battles. "Star Voyage" or "Star Hopper" would have made more sense.

If you do a sequel, maybe consider adding power ups or puzzle features.

[Space Base Defender]

Almost a big hit

This game is a very interesting innovation on the defense genre, but ultimately, it's too low on energy. Things amble around missing too much, there's nothing to do during the actual combat and there's nothing that makes you go "AAAAHH!! WHAT IS THAT???" It could also use a bit more ambiance. There's nothing to suggest that you're in outer space except for the title, and the lasers, bullets and explosions are kinda boring.

Cool Idea

This is a cool idea for a game. So cool, I might have to make my own....

You're on the right track, but sound is a must (just go to Flashkit or something). Your graphics for people, plants, globs, etc. are good enough, but the planets themselves are kinda icky looking. You might want to try just one picture of the planet from space and then use a rectangular world map while running the game.

[Nebula Invaders]

Not bad

It's pretty cool as a remake, but not so good as a modern Flash game. Unfortunately, Flash surpassed Atari ages ago...

I like that you took the time to make or find some actual sprites for this instead of stooping to geometry. I <i>hate</i> geometry.

It was a bit weird when the aliens got close and started plowing through the defenses, but I guess I don't know how that could be fixed.

Not that good

I was expecting Bulldogs in Bi-planes.

There were a few fun moments, but for the most part this is too sluggish and very bland. You need some better controls that won't mess up like these do. Don't use Space bar; Flash messes it up.

Keep trying, though.

Brilliant Game

I liked the normal robot power ups in the first game better, but the cat powers were hilarious anyways. Brilliant job.
